Terms of Service

Last updated: August 22, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bettys Bot ("we", "us", the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a binding contract, and — for live trading — legally permitted to trade on Kalshi from your jurisdiction. You're responsible for confirming your own eligibility before enabling live trading.

2. What the Service does

Bettys Bot surfaces sports markets from Kalshi, generates AI-assisted recommendations grounded in web search and statistics, and lets you place bets and configure automated rules and bots — either in a paper (simulated) trading mode or, if you connect your own Kalshi API credentials, in live trading mode using real funds on your own Kalshi account. We are not a broker, exchange, or custodian: all live orders are placed directly against Kalshi's markets under your own Kalshi account and are subject to Kalshi's own terms.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing in the Service — including AI-generated recommendations, confidence labels, edge calculations, or automated rules and bots — is financial, investment, or trading advice. Recommendations are generated by an AI model that can be wrong, out of date, or misinterpret its sources. You are solely responsible for every bet, rule, and bot you place or enable, whether you configured it directly or through the chat assistant.

4. Risk of loss

Trading on prediction markets carries real financial risk. In live mode you can lose some or all of the funds you trade with, including through automated rules or bots acting without your further confirmation once configured. Paper trading uses simulated funds and does not reflect real financial risk or Kalshi's real liquidity and execution conditions.

5. Your account and credentials

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you opt in to storing an encrypted copy of your Kalshi API key so bots can trade autonomously, you're responsible for that authorization until you revoke it in Settings. Revoking access or disabling a bot stops future autonomous trades but does not undo trades already placed.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties — including Kalshi for market data and trade execution, and OpenAI for AI-generated recommendations and chat — whose own terms and availability apply. We're not responsible for their outages, errors, or changes.

7. Prohibited use

Don't use the Service to violate the law, interfere with its operation, attempt to access another user's account or data, or circumvent Kalshi's own terms or trading rules.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the accuracy of AI recommendations, market data, or uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses from AI-generated recommendations or automated rules and bots.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
